Made these rockin spring rolls last week when one of my best friends came to visit. They were more like fun sandwiches in a rice paper wrap, but nonetheless super yummmm!!! Made a local black eyed pea tempeh sauté first that had leftover farm to table cooking class veggies of kohlrabi, carrots, beets, and green onions. Then layered that in the wrap with boiled sweet potato, and a leafy beet green and kohlrabi green sauté, fresh raw apple slices, fresh raw purple carrot slices, and a delicious homemade tahini sauce, which had tahini, tamari, ume vinegar, Braags liquid aminos, apple cider vinegar, ume plum paste, filtered water, and freshly ground black pepper. LOVE THIS SOUP!!!! One of my faves from chef school and now whenever I can!! I made it the other night,… again. Indian Spiced Potato Soup with Ginger. In my school notes with this recipe, I literally wrote "OMG, In Love, Marry Me Soup!!!" It was demo'd to us our first or second week by Chef Inge. It cleared my terrible Austin, Texas allergies that I was having that day as well. It has ground coriander seeds, ground yellow mustard seeds, sesame oil (or can use coconut oil), curry powder, fresh ginger, salt and black pepper, onion, potatoes, vegetable broth, and garnished with lime zest and garam masala.
